INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Pick a hospital to go to from the list above!  Don't forget about the ones out of the way!
  2. Turn on the radio to Miracle 89.1 FM.  Tune in between 6:15-7:15 pm as Justin leads us through this fun experience.
  3. Find the simple church flag and park in that parking area.
  4. STAY IN YOUR CAR!  Crack your window if you want.
  5. Turn your hazards on as a symbol that you are there to support hospital workers.
  6. As hospital staff leave, honk your horns, wave, hold signs, turn up the radio, clap, and cheer!  Let them know they are loved!
  7. At 7 pm, join Justin in praying over all of the hospitals, their staff, and our community!
  8. Continue to pray daily for these workers throughout this crisis.

IMMEDIATE DO GOOD OPPORTUNITY

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, our Local Good partnerships are requesting volunteers to help provide food to those at risk. We are mindful that we need to stay home and shelter in place per the Governor’s order, however, food is an essential need. That means that we can still help meet needs. So, for those of you that are in good health and are able, please check out the opportunities below.

The Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana still needs volunteers to pack emergency food boxes. They have the food supplies, they just need the manpower. Please sign up here and choose the date and time that works best for you. Please read and follow their instructions pertaining to:

  • Age of those serving (MUST be 42" tall; Younger than 16 yrs old must be accompanied by an adult with at least 1 adult per 5 minors.)
  • Appropriate dress (MUST wear closed-toe shoes; NO gym shorts, baggy pants, or tank tops; Building is not climate controlled - no heat/air)

The temporary packing site is in the old Ivan Smith Warehouse at 505 West 70th Street in Shreveport.

CLICK HERE TO SIGN-UP TO PACK FOOD BOXES WITH NWLA FOOD BANK

Please do not risk your health or the health of others. Before you consider volunteering, be sure that you are not in a high-risk group and that you are free from fever or any other symptom of COVID-19.

Please email robyn@thesimplechurch.tv with questions.

Stay tuned for more ways to Do Good. Most importantly, “Stay wide-awake in prayer. Most of all, LOVE EACH OTHER as if your life depended on it.” 1 Peter 4:7-8
